Tianjin University (TJU), National University of Singapore (NUS), the Education Department of Fujian Province and the People's Government of Fuzhou City signed the Agreement for the Establishment of Tianjin University-National University of Singapore Joint Institute in Fuzhou (hereinafter referred to as Joint Institute) on 1 December 2018. Drawing on the strengths and resources of two elite universities, the Joint Institute aspires to be a world-class platform driving cutting-edge research, innovation and technology transfer, as well as the cultivation of future-ready top talents. Aligned with China’s national development strategies and the socio-economic development requirements of Fujian, the Institute’s strategic research thrusts include flexible electronics, emerging optoelectronics, advanced manufacturing, energy materials and catalysis.
